Character History: You have two options for the history requirement:
1) Write the full history of your character out (especially if your canon is obscure).
or
2) Link to a detailed wikia page for your character and provide your own bullet point summary of your character’s history.
Character Personality: Please be as detailed as possible so that we have a good picture of the character. What makes this character tick? What are their strengths and weaknesses? Minimum three paragraphs.
Powers and Abilities: 'nuff said.

TDM posts (unless it's for Network), links, and examples for posts from other communities are not accepted.
Network: Your network sample entry should be made as if your character were posting to a public network, such as Dreamwidth. It does not have to be their first post (ie, "OMG WHERE AM I?!"), but it does have to show that the character is perfectly aware of the fact that this is something that other people are likely to see. Please avoid excessive use of descriptions in [action tags] here, as one would get in video posts - we're looking for your character's voice, the one they use for talking to others. Save the internal monologues for the third person sample.
If you use TDM for your network sample it needs to meet the following requirements:
* Taken from the Test Drive Meme for The Wake and not any other game
* Contains at least 12 comments from the character being applied for
* Contains enough material for us to see how the character is like
* Has to reflect their first person voice
Third Person: 300 word minimum. This is the place to show your character's inner thoughts within the setting. Give us a nice third person narrative of your character doing something, plus how they feel about it. This doesn't have to be blatant "this is what my character is thinking, designated by italics!" but should rather show your character's self via their actions and interactions with their environment.

Character's Full Name: Anthony DiNozzo Jr.
Character's Canon: NCIS Season 7 post Truth and Consequences
Character's Journal Name:
veryspecial_agent
What would you like your character's tag to be?: Tony DiNozzo
Answer the following questions in no less than 300 words but no greater than 1000 words put together...
Character's background (their past and present): Anthony DiNozzo
Character's personality:Anthony DiNozzo Jr. was born on July 8th, 1971. He was born into a semi privileged family, or so he thought. He would not learn the truth until much later. He lost his mother at a young age in a car accident. His father, not being able to deal with having a teen-aged son living at home, shipped Tony off to Rhode Island Military Academy, where he was able to hone one of the many masks he would have to wear throughout his life. Tony's childhood, or lack of a stable home environment is what shaped him into the man that he is today.
He learned that a person had to do what they had to do to survive, he put on his best face and survived high school to really flourish in college. He adapted his frat boy image in college, partly because he was one, and mostly because he found it easier to survive if people thought you were dumb. This attitude actually works well for him, and to the outside observer he can come off as childish and arrogant, when in fact he is highly intelligent and very caring. Even to his co workers he can come off as such when he wants to but in reality he is just the opposite, and it is a select few that get to know the "real" Tony
Tony is a very street smart individual as well as being book smart, although he tends to play up the street smarts more than the book smarts. He learned from a very young age that he had to learn how to survive on his own. He was very much used to not having anyone to have his six so to speak. It is very much evidenced by the fact that he couldn't hold a steady job until he joined NCIS. Being part of the Major Crimes Response team has taught Tony a lot of Valuable things, the first of which is learning that he can actually depend on other people to have his back.
Tony has been used to being a loner, seemed content to be so, even though he yearned for encouragement and praise on some level. He ended up getting that praise, his father couldn't give him through Leroy Jethro Gibbs, and he has really thrived under his guidance. He has learned his rules backwards and forwards, and learned to rely on both his leadership and guidance when he lost his way. Gibbs is more of a moral compass to Tony than he probably even consciously realizes. Tony considers Gibbs more of a father, than his own ever was, and that comes to light when his father comes back into his life, and he realizes that everything that he ever thought he knew about his father, is in fact a lie. Gibbs, in Tony's eyes Gibbs will teell him the truth always no matter what. He only lost faith in Gibbs a couple of times. The first being when he returned from Mexico with Barely a glance in his direction, not to be outdone by the You'll do he received when Gibbs left. The other time, is when Tony felt that he was left out of the loop, and not given vital pieces of information, that could have put his and Ziva's life in danger. Through everything, Gibbs is the person that Tony turns to in a crunch, and that is likely not to change.
Not much was known about Tony's relationship with his father early on in his career, just that he was a wealthy businessman type, who rather than be a father to his son, shipped him off to boarding school. Tony spent most of his adult life trying to be the exact opposite of what his father was. Tony was kind and gentle, mostly a one woman man, whereas his father married often. When he popped in to visit, he was naturally wary and defensive at first, but over time, and with Gibbs' help, he realized that even though his father was a conman, he was still his father, and that mattered. It showed his growth a person, that he still wanted to save his father's dignity, by giving up a vacation he had been planning.
Tony's frat boy persona allowed for him to get away with a lot over the years, but that is not who he really is. In reality he is a kind, giving, man, who feels things very deeply. He has this tough guy exterior that he portrays to the world, but many of Kate, McGee's, and Ziva's jabs over the years have hurt him deeply, and over the course of the years, have given him pause to reevaluate the image that he gives off to people. Gone is the frat boy, who never takes things seriously, and in his place is an intelligent, professional, grown up man, who is equipped to deal with any situation thrown his way. Yes, he still quotes movies, but they are at least contextually relevant, and the head slaps are few and far between.
When not with his co-workers, Tony tends to be more quiet and reserved, especially in the later years that he was with NCIS. It can be started to be seen when Gibbs comes back from Mexico. He just doesn't take Gibbs at his word as he used to when he first started with NCIS, and that really starts to bring out the side of his personality that he only shows to the people that are closest to him. He can be quiet and contemplative most with Gibbs, because he trusts him the most.
Tony's relationships are probably what define him the most. He has a complex, but unique attachments to everyone that he works with. In the episode Truth and Consequences, Tony really does sum it up best.
" Well I told you about the brains, I told you about the guts, I told you about the muscle, the scientist, the politician, the leader.
I told you about every member of the team except myself.
- The part I play.
- Which is? I'm the wild card.
I'm the guy who looks at the reality in front of him and refuses to accept it.
Like, right now I should be terrified, right? But I'm not.
'Cause I just can't stop thinking about the movie True Lies, you know, where Arnie's strapped to the chair and shot full of truth serum, then he picks his cuffs and kills everybody."
Tony is truly the wildcard of the team. He is the glue that binds everyone together. His wit, and charm, his charisma, and police skills are things that the people he works with admire most about him.
His relationship with Ziva is probably the one that has gone through the biggest change. They started off not trusting each other at all, and slowly built to a mutual respect of one another's work, to where they ended up in Isreal. It is obvious that Tony's feelings for Ziva run deeper than just a mutual work respect. It is Tony's tenanciousness and unwillingness to let her go that ultimately saves her.
Character's skills/abilities/powers:
Tony is the best undercover agent NCIS has. He has the ability to become anyone or anything needed to close a case.
He is a people person. He relates well to the people that he has to work with, and deal with on a personal level.
He has the ability to talk himself out of any situation.
Any special equipment your character is bringing along? This includes weaponry, magic items, etc.:
-His Sig if allowed. It isn't magical, but he never leaves home without it.
-he might bring some box movie sets, because entertainment
Are you bringing your character to
ten_fwd from another game? If you are, which game?:N/A
If you answered yes above, briefly summarize how they were changed by and what challenges they faced in the climate of their previous game(s):N/A
Why do you want to play this character in Ten Forward, and what do you plan to do with them?
Tony, as an adult has the wonderment of a child in a candy store, and that is not a bad thing. I think he would view being aboard the enterprise as some grand adventure. He also work hard to be accepted and fit in. He will be willing to do things that someone else might not be willing to do, so I think he would be a good fit on board.
Writing Sample #1: Tony on the TDM
Writing Sample #2 (optional):
Tony leaned back in the chair, his feet resting on the other chair. To the casual observer he would look like her was sleeping, but to those who knew him best? They would know that he did his best work late at night, or when he was meditating. Tony didn’t call it sleeping, unlike Kate, who constantly mocked him. He couldn’t say that he blamed her though. He had made her life pretty difficult. He smiled a bit though, because at the time, he held great satisfaction at being able to get one over on Kate. It was really the light of his day.
Then McGee came along. The little McSmarty pants, Mcbrown-noser, McElflord. Oh, Tony spent some glorious hours trying to break him in. It hadn’t really been torture per say, definitely not worse than what Gibbs had done to him, and especially not worse than what was done to him at Rhode Island Military Academy. McGee took it like a champ though, and though Tony would never admit this, except in times of Deep duress, he was proud of his young Pad wan. Yes, he did talk a good game with young Timothy McGee, and perhaps he yanked his chain a bit too much, but Tim was all the better for it, so Tony counted that as a win.
Ziva, however, was a tougher nut to crack. He wasn’t sure he had trusted her completely when they first met, but he had enjoyed tormenting her with his play on words. He liked to think that he taught her something, but he had a feeling that she taught him so much more. He spent a long time burying things, feelings beneath the surface, and he liked it that way, but somehow she had managed to get him to feel things again, he didn’t know how, but he knew that not going after her was not an option he could fathom.
